Risk Factor:
Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs
Average Follow-up Time Detail
The median follow-up time (IQR) was 6.7 (3.8-7.2) years.
Exposure Detail
Investigators ascertained exposure information by administrating a standardized interview and by examining prescriptions and medications at baseline and at follow-up visits. The investigators reported results on current vs. not using non-ASA NSAIDs separately for male and female participants. This entry pertains to results among women.
The investigators compared AD risk in two groups: the group of female participants who used non-ASA NSAIDs at baseline ("Current use") and the reference group of female participants who did not use non-ASA NSAIDs at baseline ("Not using").
Ethnicity Detail
The 3C cohort is composed of community-dwelling persons of 3 French cities. The distribution of other ethnic backgrounds was not reported.
